Present at the POSTER SESSION for the 2008 NCDA Annual Meeting
The NC Dietetic Association invites you to submit abstracts for the Poster Sessions at the 75th NC Dietetic Association Annual Meeting. Poster sessions are scheduled in conjunction with exhibits. Poster session times will be assigned based on the number of submissions, subject matter and available space.
Through research and education we can put the NC Dietetic Association and its members in a better position to serve the public and contribute to the knowledge that supports dietetics and the science of nutrition. You can make an impact as a dietetic professional or a pre-professional!
The focus of the poster session is to provide NC Dietetic Association members with updated, quality research projects of varied and practical interest in the areas of Clinical Nutrition, Foodservice Management, Community Dietetics/Nutrition Education, Dietetics Education and Training, and Dietetics in Business and Industry. Research abstracts should describe the author’s research methodology (i.e., design, subject characteristics, statistical analysis), the major findings and the conclusions. Project or program report abstracts describe the purpose of a project/tool, the theory upon which it is based, the setting in which it is used, the characteristics of the target audience, how the program/tool is evaluated, and, if applicable, the unique characteristics of the program/tool.
Members in all categories of NCDA are eligible to participate as well as students in nutrition, food management, public health, or dietetic education programs. In addition, upon approval, the poster session is open to companies, food organizations, etc. to provide information on the latest research pertinent to NCDA members and dietetics professionals.
Deadline for receipt of abstracts and completed forms is 5:00 pm Eastern on February 1, 2008. Abstracts and forms may be submitted via email, fax or mail but must be received by the February 1, 2008 deadline. See enclosed instruction sheet and application form.
